Only an Idiot Would Throw Stones From This Glass House

If you've been watching the news over the last couple of days, you've gotten a glimpse of the America that loves Sarah Palin and the America they are counting on to get them elected. These are the people who shout out "terrorist," "kill him," "treason" without so much as a frown or rebuke from Palin or McCain. As one columnist said, the Belch and Buckshot crowd. That's not leadership. That's not character. That's not Country First. We're better than that. It's also dishonest and dangerous for Palin to be leveling charges against Obama for just knowing someone who did some bad things when Obama was eight-years old.

Imagine the uproar if Michelle Obama was revealed to have joined a black nationalist party whose founder preached armed secession from the United States and who enlisted the government of Iran in his cause? The Obama campaign would probably not have survived such an explosive revelation. Particularly if Barack Obama himself was videotaped giving the anti-American secessionists his wholehearted support just months ago.

That's virtually the same situation Palin has with her husband, Todd, the First Dude! His membership in the Alaska Independence Party is truly disturbing in view of its former leader, now deceased, Joe Vogler. It's hard to believe that Palin didn't have any connection to this since she videotaped a message to the group recently giving them her full support.

Read the whole story here. It will come in handy tonight, during the debate, as you listen to McCain try to convince us that Obama is a terrorist who doesn't love America.
