More Evidence Against Evolution

In a television appearance that outraged Democrats are already describing as Joseph McCarthy politics, Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann claimed on Friday that Barack Obama and his wife Michelle held anti-American views and couldn't be trusted in the White House. She even called for the major newspapers of the country to investigate other members of Congress to "find out if they are pro-America or anti-America."

The only reason that it's worth taking fifteen minutes of your time to listen to this drivel is to face up to the reality of what we have in the congress of the United States. If she were just one lone person out there, like the "crazy McCain lady" at his rally who is convinced that Obama is an Arab, it would be easy to dismiss. But, the disturbing thing about this is that she is an elected representative who represents the views of a large number of people in Minnesota. We can only hope that those people watch this and will vote her out.

Esquire magazine listed her as of the 10 worst members of congress. Here's what they have to say about her in the current issue:

One gets the impression that if, in the name of "traditional values," Bachmann could rescind the vote for women, she would. Her vacant, wild eyes recall a doomsday prophet, or one of Charlie Manson's girls. Equal parts religious hack and party hack, she's got spunk and not much else.

Make yourself a stiff drink, pull up a chair, brace yourself, and endure this stunning display of ignorance.
