In America, anybody can be president. That's one of the risks you take.

Evolution Left Some People Behind
There are different kinds of ignorance, some forgivable and some not. If a person is isolated from facts, they don't have much choice. You can't expect a native of Borneo to understand math, history or concepts of social justice. But, willful ignorance is unforgivable and dangerous. These people have chosen their comfortable prejudices and ignorance over knowledge. To make matters even worse, they're proud of it.
I wish we could have a president or a candidate who didn't have to spout the worn-out cliches about how great we are as a people and country. It would be refreshing to hear one of them say, "You're a fat bunch of ignorant bastards, and you need to get off your ass and learn something or we're going to be speaking Chinese in a few years." Arguably, that would be more patriotic than the crap they're feeding us now. Our leaders on both sides have become enablers. Bush tells us to go shopping when we're at war. They all tell us how great we are. The stuff we're seeing at these political rallies is not a sign of our greatness.
Zorro (Spanish for Fox, and a by-word for cunning or devious) is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega, a fictional nobleman and master swordsman living in Spanish and Mexican-era California. He defends the people of the land against tyrannical governors and other villains, and is not only much too cunning and foxlike for the bumbling authorities to be caught, but delights in publicly humiliating those same foes, while riding on his horse Tornado.
